NFU Cymru members in Brecon and Radnorshire are invited to the next county meeting and AGM, which will take place at the International Pavilion, on the Royal Welsh Showground, just outside Builth Wells, on Monday, October 18.
The meeting, which will begin at 7.30pm, will welcome guest speaker Bruno Gardner, managing director of NFU EnZero.
Mr Gardner joined the NFU last year with the remit to help farmers develop renewable energy and net zero projects on their land. During the meeting, Mr Gardner will share his thoughts on how farmers and growers can both support and benefit from the UK’s transition to net zero, with a particular focus on carbon offsetting. He will also introduce NFU Energy’s new service to help farmers develop renewable energy schemes.
NFU Cymru Brecon and Radnor County chairman, Geraint Watkins, said: “I am extremely pleased to be welcoming Bruno Gardner to our county meeting and AGM.
“It’ll be interesting to see what schemes farmers in the county can get involved with to help achieve our target of net zero by 2040.”
All members wishing to attend the meeting are asked to register with the NFU Cymru office by calling 01982 554200 or registering their attendance on the website.
