Why did you decide to set up the business? We are a father and daughter partnership, my father has over 50 yrs experience and I have over 20 years.
"It’s a fulfilling job where we get to see people from all walks of life, and it’s very interesting hearing the stories customers have to tell us. "We also wanted to support our community, we sponsor a range of things from a cricket match to the boards on the football ground to Presteigne St Andrews match days."

What is your most memorable or proudest moment in business? "Most recently Graham and I have decided to open a second shop after customers cheered us on to do so.
"We have raised money for the Welsh Air Ambulance as my father a few years back had a serious accident with a piece of our flooring equipment and subsequently he was air lifted to Shrewsbury Hospital, a very scary time and one I thought I’d lost my dad, but because of them another life was saved."

Any strange requests or stories from customers? "There’s been quite a few. A lovely lady came in with her husbands belt and after choosing her desired flooring.
"I suggested getting the room measured but out comes this belt that she had used a screwdriver to make a hole one end and said from the wall to the door it’s eight of these and from the window to en-suite door it’s 6 1/2. We then had to measure the belt and worked it out, and it fitted."
