The opening of a new town centre shop has been pushed back into October.
‘Waste Not Shop’ will soon open inside the former William Hill betting shop in Broad Street following months of renovation work.
Councillor David Selby told a town council meeting on Monday (September 27) that Circular Economy Mid Wales, a project encouraging people to reuse and recycle, had been hit by delays.
“The project is running slower and the reasons for that are down to the economy and builders getting various supplies. That has dogged the final lengths of the project.
“There is an awful lot of the project that is already in place in terms with the work at Pen Dinas.
“In terms of the shop, the latest is that it will open sometime next month rather than this month."
The shop will include a community a Repair Cafe, Library of Things, Textile Rebels Workshop, Bike to the Future and Cultivate Co-ops Community Fridge.
