Police officers are investigating after car keys were stolen during a burglary in Newtown.

A black BMW 435i was driven off and left in the Mochdre Industrial Estate after keys were removed from a property in the Garth Owen area.

The burglary is believed to have happened between 10.30pm on Tuesday (September 21) and 6am on Wednesday (September 22).

Officers would like to identify two males who were seen climbing over a gate and into a field after crossing a road near Unit 81 Actia. One male was wearing light clothing and the other was wearing black trousers or jeans and a blue coloured jacket or top.

Police are also keen to identify a silver Peugeot hatchback that was parked facing oncoming traffic by the gate at around 7.45am on Wednesday morning.

Anyone who has dashcam footage or was travelling along the Mochdre Industrial Estate some time around 6.30am and 6.40am on Wednesday morning is urged to contact PC 81 Marcus Wright by phoning 101.
