A Llanfair Caereinion man who grew his hair for 18 months has finally 'braved the shave' - and raised over £3,000 for charity.
Erfyl Thomas, of nearby Llangyniew, decided to grow his hair and beard to collect money for the Alzheimer’s Society for a period of one year initially - but the original date of having his hair cut in the local pub had to be postponed for another six months due to Covid related restrictions.
Following his fresh trim and shave, Mr Thomas handed over a cheque for £3,250 to Andrew Hall from the Alzheimer’s Society at the Red Lion, Llanfair Caereinion.
