AARON Williams came off the bench to complete a hat-trick as Newtown made light work of Berriew in the second round of the JD Welsh Cup.

The tie was over as a contest by half-time as James Davies, Jordan Evans and Jamie Breese struck.

Jack Williams reduced the arrears with 20 minutes remaining but Newtown were not to be denied as the in-form Williams bagged a 12 minute hat-trick to ensure the Robins a place in the third round.

Brecon Corries' JD Welsh Cup adventure came to an end with a 6-0 defeat at JD Cymru Premier side Haverfordwest County.

A Jack Wilson strike separated the sides midway through the first-half before County tightened their grip with two goals in as many minutes at the end of the half as Ben Fawcett and Mason Jones-Thomas struck.

Goals from Jack Williams, Kieran Lewis and a second from Fawcett sealed the tie in the second-half.

TNS made light work of Llanwrst United with Jake Canavan and Louis Robles each netting doubles while Dean Ebbe and Jeanny Akpo-Leblanc strikes completed a 6-0 win.

Elsewhere Guilsfield survived a scare before prevailing 5-3 winners at Llandudno Albion.

The JD Cymru North side raced ahead with goals from Adam Jenkins, Jake Cook and Jamie Hyne before Iwan Matthews added a fourth.

David Maddock reduced the arrears before Matthews added his second but the hosts rallied late on as Maddock completed his double and Luke Smith netted.

Penrhycoch overcame the challenge of Ynyshir Albions with goals from Steffan Gittins, Harri Horwood, Josh Shaw and Geoff Kellaway completing a 4-1 win at Cae Baker.

Jamie Price reduced the arrears with the Gwent side ending with 10 men following the dismissal of Scott Jones.

However Llanrhaeadr were the victims of a cup upset in a 5-3 home defeat to Saltney Town.

A Tom Gale goal gave the hosts the interval lead before the visitors hit back to lead early in the second-half as Tom Booth, Ryan McCleary and Jordan O'Brien struck.

Own goals from Stephen Chiocchi and Jack Roberts levelled the tie before Llanrhaeadr were dealt a blow with the dismissal of Bailee Austin.
