RYAN Morgan is looking forward to an exciting new chapter in his career after signing for Newtown Football Club this summer.

Morgan arrives at Latham Park from JD Cymru Premier rivals TNS where he was capped for the English Colleges Football Association in a match against the Chelsea Academy.

The teenager has climbed through the ranks since joining Shrewsbury Town as an eight year old.

Trials at Manchester United and Aston Villa followed before a two year spell at Shrewsbury Town and also represented Stoke City at development side level.

However the teenager was falling out of love for the game when he opted for a fresh start with TNS where he was converted from midfield to right wing back.

He has not looked back since and enjoyed a spell as a TNS scholar when he represented England Colleges.

Following his release from Park Hall in the summer he joined Newtown and has set his sights on the first team.

He said: "Unfortunately I was released from TNS this summer but the coaches told me I was good enough to play in the Welsh Premier so I decided to join Newtown AFC U19s.

"I still believe I can play at a high level and play for the first team one day."

Proud mother Sandra said: "As Ryan's parents we are so proud of what he has achieved.

"You watch them go through the lows as well as the highs and all we can do is support and guide him through the tough times of football."
