MALDWYN Harriers Athletics Club is the home of two new Welsh junior champions.
Ryan Edwards is the new men's under 20s long jump champion with a new personal best of 6.92m sealing gold in Newport on Saturday.
Meanwhile Maddie Griffiths is the new women's under 17s 1,500m champion following a stellar display in Gwent.
Deri McCluskey just missed out on a podium place, ending fourth in the men's under 17s 1,500m with a new PB of 4.14.
Emerging talent Caitlyn Bloor was also in action with her PB of 5.32 enough for sixth place in the women's under 17s 1,500m.
McCluskey and Griffiths also represented the Newtown-based club at the Home Countries Youth International Mountain Running race in Ambleside.
Both ended in 11th place in their respective categories with Griffiths setting a time of 27.07 and McCluskey crossing the line in 23.23.
