Two boys were rescued from a dangerous ledge near a Powys waterfall by specialist fire service rope rescue teams on Monday, July 26.

Brecon Mountain Rescue Team paid tribute to "partnership working" after the two boys, who had become stuck on the Water-Break-Its-Neck falls in New Radnor, were successfully brought down.

Fire crews from Mid Wales and Shrewsbury were also called to attend the scene after an urgent callout from a member of the public.

"The team were called to New Radnor as two young boys had got stuck on a very steep hill next to a waterfall," said a spokesperson for BMRT.

"A technical system was rigged to get them down successfully. Great partnership working with WAST, DPP and the fire service."
