DO YOU know your Mid Wales shows from your festivals? How about your beauty spots from your ice cream parlours?

Well, they all featured in our World Emoji Day quiz that we posted over the weekend to celebrate, you guessed it, World Emoji Day, which was recognised on Saturday, July 17.

We use countless emojis every day, so why not celebrate them? We did just that, cleverly – or frustratingly – putting together a list of 15 famous Powys events, places or landmarks for you to try and guess, using just the emojis at our disposal.

The Royal Welsh Show, which was due to kick off in Llanelwedd, near Builth Wells, today (Monday, July 19) featured, as did the Green Man Festival, which returns to Crickhowell next month. There was also the famous Pen-y-Fan, in the Brecon Beacons, and the world renowned Hay Festival.

In the embedded tweet from our Twitter page, how many did you get right. Some were easy, others more of a test or even a little obscure.
