A man has been arrested and charged with criminal damage after allegedly breaking windows in the office of Montgomeryshire MP Craig Williams.
Police said they attended the Welshpool High Street office of the MP during the afternoon on Wednesday, July 7, after receiving a call from staff.
A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police said: "We received a call at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 7 July, to reports of a male having entered the constituency office of MP Craig Williams in High Street, Welshpool.
"Officers attended and arrested Wayne Powell, aged 53, of Bryn y Gog, Machynlleth, on suspicion of criminal damage.
"He has since been charged and bailed to appear before Welshpool Magistrates Court on 27th July 2021."
