POLICE are investigating after a sheep had to be put down due to suffering bite injuries.
The incident is believed to have occurred in the Elan Valley, near the Garreg-Ddu reservoir, between July 1 and 3.
Dyfed Powys Police said the ewe was found to be suffering and later euthanised. They are asking witnesses to come forward.
“We are investigating a livestock worrying offence, in the area of Garreg-Ddu reservoir, Elan Valley, between 1st-3rd July 2021,” the force’s Rural Crime Team said on their Twitter account.
“A ewe was found suffering, with severe bite injuries and was later euthanised. Did you witness this incident?”
