CARRIE Jones' star continues to rise after being named Manchester United women's player of the season.
The former Newtown and Llanfair Caereinion High School pupil received her award from Old Trafford legend and current men's first team coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Jones made the move to Manchester United from Cardiff City last summer and the 17 year old midfielder has since broken into the first team squad.
Jones is also an emerging talent in the Welsh set-up having made her senior team debut as a 15 year old.
Jones said: "I am very pleased to have won this award.
"I would not have been able to have achieved this without the support from my family and everyone around me.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed a challenging first season at United and this topped it off."
