A county councillor for Newtown has raised concerns about alterations on a busy road near a supermarket.
Cllr Joy Jones said she “witnessed mayhem” near the Morrisons and new Aldi junction on Pool Road on Wednesday morning (May 19).
The road has been narrowed on the eastbound lane towards Welshpool and left without new road markings.
People travelling through the area have shared their concerns on social media about the new layout.
Cllr Jones said: “Beware the road work by the new Aldi on Pool Rd has been left without road marks changed or signage to point out the road has narrowed and changed are pushing vehicles into the right hand turning lane.
“I am aware of an accident there yesterday and while there this morning I witness mayhem. It’s all reported and hopefully signage and warns will be put in place ASAP.”
