THOSE planning on digging out the barbecue this Bank Holiday may want to rethink their plans, with rain on the way tomorrow and Monday.

The weather is set to be mild on Sunday, with the Met Office saying people should expect a day of patchy cloud, scattered showers and sunny spells.

The temperature will sit at around 11 to 12 degrees celcius throughout the day, so a jumper is recommended for those determined to fire up the barbecue.

Monday will be a different story however, with rain expected all day and temperatures sitting at around 9C all day.

The Met Office predicts there will be early showers on Monday, before heavy rain and strong winds arrive from the west in the afternoon.
