POWYS residents can now take a free Covid-19 test if they have a wider range of symptoms.

As well as the three common signs of the virus which include; a fever, continuous cough and a loss or change of taste and smell, people can now get tested if they have other symptoms.

These include flu-like symptoms such as; aches or pains; tiredness; headache; runny nose or blocked nose; sneezing; sore throat; shortness of breath; nausea; loss of appetite; Diarrhoea or vomiting.

Those who generally feel unwell or have been in contact with someone known to have Covid-19 can also have a test, as well as those who notice a change in, or new, symptoms following a negative test.

If you have any queries you can contact the Powys Testing hub via email at Powys.testing@wales.nhs.uk or by calling 01874 612228.
