THREE people tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday and Sunday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Powys to 4,150 since the outbreak began, official figures show.

The number of people to have contracted coronavirus in the region increased by three from Friday’s figure of 4,147.

The number of Powys residents who have died following a positive test, according to Public Health Wales (PHW), increased by one since Friday to 66.

That number stands at 266 according to more accurate Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures.

On Sunday, PHW stated 94 new cases were reported across Wales, while three deaths were also reported.
