LLANDRINDOD Wells county councillor Pete Roberts is asking for views on extending the 20mph speed limit around Ysgol Cefnllys.
Councillor Roberts, who represents the Llandrindod South ward, says a number of residents have approached enquiring about the possibility of extending the speed limit to cover Cefnllys Lane, Woodlands and the Bracken Trust headquarters.
Posting on the popular Llandrindod Solutions Facebook page, Cllr Roberts said: “In light of the work near Ysgol Cefnllys a number of people have approached me to enquire if it is possible to extend the 20mph around the school further up Cefnllys Lane to between Woodlands and the Bracken Trust to reduce vehicle speeds coming down the hill.
“I know from experience how easy it is to exceed the limit if you are focused on the streetscape and not your speed, so I have made the initial approaches to the traffic team.
“Before this goes further though I would welcome thoughts from residents of the area.”
