A NEW sweet concession has landed at a town store in Welshpool.
Tuffins has announced a partnership with Planet Doughnut, which began life as a doughnut shop in Shrewsbury, in the Welshpool store with the launch of the first ‘Dough & Go’ concession.
Fresh doughnuts will be available six days a week during the trial period. They will be available in singles, triples and sixes. Local deliveries will also be available through Zoom in one hour.
Harry Delves, commercial director, said: "We are delighted to be trialling this new concept. We have been selling Planet Doughnut in-store for nine months now and customers love the variety and quality of doughnuts on offer. This is a totally new route to market for the brand now and we are delighted to be the first trial site."
Duncan McGregor at Planet Doughnut added: "We are really pleased to be opening our new ‘Dough & Go’ Concession at Tuffins. We think this concept can really work well for us in the future and once the trial has completed we can roll them out pretty quickly and easily. The pandemic has presented us a number of challenges as a small family business but we are really excited for what the future holds’.
