If so, then Powys Teaching Health Board could have the job for you. They are seeking to appoint Covid-19 immunisers to assist in the delivery of the vaccination programme, one of our most important campaigns in recent years.

You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccination programme alongside the wider mass vaccination team, supported by our registered immunisation staff.

The position is available at the Newtown Mass Vaccination Centre, located at Maldwyn Leisure Centre, with the role fixed at 36 hours per week. The deadline is 11.59pm this coming Thursday, April 15.

“We are looking for applications from motivated, enthusiastic individuals who possess good communication skills, are able to work confidently with patients and have a good understanding of working in a caring environment,” the health board said on their website.

“We will provide full training to undertake the role and competencies will be assessed in order to ensure you are equipped to deliver the Covid-19 vaccine.

“We are looking for people who can start as soon as possible, on a fixed term basis, initially for a 3-month period. However, there may be opportunities for other roles at the end of this contract. Candidates will also need be able to work flexibly covering weekends and afternoon shifts.

“The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.”
