AS EXCITEMENT and optimism returns with coronavirus restrictions finally lifting, Builth Wells Town Council has shared a number of things it’s hoping to achieve this year.

Aims of the council include replacing and repairing a number of park benches, launching a new town website and hosting a fun day in August.

The town council said on its Facebook page:“We are embarking on replacing and repairing our benches around the town. Councillors Davies and Waller are taking the lead. New welcome to Builth signs hopefully with a brand new design.

“The town council will again be supplying the hanging baskets free of charge for the High Street.

“We are financially supporting the town’s new website which PixelHaze have designed and worked so hard on, along with a group especially set up to promote our town.

“We will be planting our bee and butterly garden in the coming weeks. We hope this will be a pleasure to visit.

“We would like to have our fun day in August and our Christmas Grotto in December. Covid permitting.”

The statement added: “These are just some of the things that we are undertaking.

“I’m sure you will all agree the town council is working hard to make our community a better place to live.”
