THE Dolly Mixtures needed to excuse to venture outdoors after a year in lockdown.
Members of the women's running group, like all other clubs, have spent the past 12 months trying to stay focused and motivated.
While members have remained as active as possible, the prospect of raising money for Comic Relief while completing a 5K run was one members were eager to participate.
And, being Comic Relief, members dressed up and hit the road on Saturday.
Across Montgomeryshire motorists and passers by were treated to a morale boosting site as the Dollies, dressed as everything from superheroes to nuns, completed their 5K mission.
A club spokesman said: "Dollies don't often need an excuse but a Saturday morning 5K in aid of Comic Relief seemed to be perfect.
"So if you spotted a superhero and cheered them on last Saturday morning, thank you – you made a difference to their day, to Comic Relief's fundraising efforts and to the runner's own day.
"Truly a morning of laughs."
