A wooden sculpture has been found damaged in a Newtown park.
The carved statue of St David located in the Town Park was found broken from its base on Saturday morning (March 20).
Open Newtown, a community organisation that manages the town's green spaces, said that it was "further mindless vandalism".
An Open Newtown spokesperson said: "It would appear our Druid statue, that of St David, is having a lie down this morning after further mindless vandalism.
"We’re arranging for the statue to be collected and repaired, to be reaffixed safely ASAP."
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact the police on 101.
