A NEWTOWN man has been given more unpaid work to carry out after breaching a court order.
Saul Dre Coleman, 20, of no fixed abode, admitted breaching a community order he was given last December, when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates Court.
Coleman was placed under the order after being found guilty after a trial of sending menacing communications, after a crudely-made image of two males with a gun were posted on Facebook and caused North Powys schools to go into lockdown in September.
Julian Davies, of the probation service told the court that Coleman had failed to keep appointments with the service in January, but had since made efforts to re-engage .
Owain Jones, defending, added that Coleman, whose brother was sentenced for a similar breach the week before, had recently suffered a bereavement and was making efforts with the probation service.
Chair of the magistrates bench Stephen Pembroke ordered Coleman to continue with the order and added 30 hours of unpaid work to the 50 hours he was originally given in December.
