MAJOR hospitality chain Travelodge is looking to bringing a new hotel to either Newtown or Welshpool.
Despite being hit by the pandemic in the last 12 months, it is understood the firm has plans to open hotels in 12 locations across Wales as it seeks to increase it's offering across the UK by 2025.
These are the potential locations the chain is looking at, with both Newtown and Welshpool being considered for a Mid Wales premises:
Abergavenny
Aberystwyth
Cardiff West / Penarth
Cwmbran / Pontypool
Haverfordwest / Fishguard / Milford Haven
Newport Junction 30
Newtown / Welshpool
Pontypridd / Rhondda Cynon Taff
Swansea
Tenby
Pwllheli
Wrexham
