NFU Cymru members in Montgomeryshire have been invited to the next county meeting where Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (NVZ) will be part of the discussion.

The meeting will take place virtually next Thursday, February 18. NFU Cymru members will learn more about the Welsh Government’s plans to designate the whole of Wales a NVZ zone and raise any concerns they might have and how it will affect them. NFU Cymru also hope to discuss the current Welsh Government consultation on animal transportation.

Montgomeryshire NFU Cymru county chairman Hugh Besent said: “This meeting is an important one and will be an opportunity for members to seek clarity on the latest Welsh Government announcement on NVZ, which will affect farmers across Wales.

“During the meeting we will hear from NFU Cymru president John Davies, who will discuss the ongoing work of the union and we will also be welcoming Gwawr Parry to her new role as our county advisor.”
