A CRIMINAL Behaviour Order (CBO) has been served on a repeat anti-social behaviour offender in Llandrindod Wells.

Trisha Clifton, 48, was served with the CBO at Merthyr Crown Court on January 20 following an application by the Llandrindod Wells Neighbourhood Policing Team.

The CBO was issued to Clifton as a result of her anti-social behaviour and breaching, on numerous occasions, a community protection notice in Llandrindod in recent months.

The order will be in place for three years where Clifton will have to comply with the following conditions:

● Must not act in an anti-social manner, that is to say, a manner that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to any member of the general public;

● Not to be intoxicated in a public place

● Reside at her own address and not at her mother's address

● Not to contact emergency services except in an emergency situation

PCSO Mike Davies said: “These incidents have had a significant impact on the lives of the local residents.

2We will continue to clamp down hard on those who behave in an anti-social manner. We hope that this Criminal Behaviour Order reassures those in the community who have witnessed Clifton’s behaviour that action will be taken to address these concerns.”

PS Jenna Jones added: “Since the new restructure of neighbourhood policing in Dyfed Powys Police over 12 months ago, officers have been given the training and time to proactively work at problem solving within their communities making a big impact on anti-social behaviour and how we are able to respond to it.

“Criminal Behaviour Orders are not new but are a new way for us in approaching a persistent problem and one we will use again moving forward as it provides a really positive impact for the community and the person served.”
