Matthew Higgins is the British Kart champion.
The 15 year old from Trefeglwys sealed the title after storming to victory in the final round of the season at Whilton Mill just before Christmas.
Driving for team DHR, Matthew won both heats in commanding fashion.
With rain still falling hard, Matthew made a perfect start and hit the front early pulling away each lap to win by over eight seconds.
Winning the British Championship also meant a place in team UK for the World Finals in Portugal but this event ended up being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After securing the double this year with the British Open Championship and the British Tittle in 2020 things are looking good going into this season.
Matthew aims to step up to the senior category and compete in the British Championship and the European series and is currently on the look out for sponsorship.
