Flooding in Mid Wales has hit deliveries of this week's Powys County Times.

Road closures along main routes through the county have disrupted supply of the papers to some parts of the county.

We hope to deliver papers to shops on Friday, so they will be available on Friday afternoon.

Editor Thom Kennedy said: "We're sorry that the papers aren't in everybody's hands already but we, as with so many other people in the county, have been affected by the dreadful conditions brought about by Storm Cristoph.

"We'll have this week's edition in your hands as soon as possible, and apologise for the disruption.

"As well as all the usual news, sport, TV listings, puzzles and local community content, this week's edition includes a remarkable feature commemorating the Abermule rail disaster, whose centenary is coming up, so we hope you will all feel the paper is one that's worth waiting for.

"In the meantime, please accept our apologies – and stay safe."
