POWYS Teaching Health Board has opened a temporary reserve list for people aged 70+ and who are able to travel to one of the county’s Mass Vaccination Centres (MVC).

If you are able to attend an appointment for a vaccine at short notice, the health board has announced that it is able to offer short notice appointments for people who meet the criteria below:

>Are you aged 70 to 74? or aged 80+? (people aged 75 to 79 are being contacted by their GP practice)

>Are you registered with a GP in Powys?

>Are you someone who does NOT already have a Covid-19 vaccination appointment (eg with your GP practice)?

>Are you able to travel safely for a late notice appointment at a mass vaccination centre in Newtown, Builth Wells or Bronllys?

If you can answer ‘yes’ to all four questions then visit the PTHB website at this address and fill in the form.

We have guaranteed supplies of good quantities of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, but we can only deliver this from our Mass Vaccination Centres – in Newtown, Builth Wells and Bronllys.

We encourage people to take up an appointment at a Mass Vaccination Centre if at all possible. Please go ahead with an appointment at the Mass Vaccination Centre if you can, as this will be your quickest opportunity to get the vaccine.

But attending our Mass Vaccination Centres is not an option for everyone – and also some people may not be able to attend at short notice (eg due to travel disruption, sickness, or other life events). If you cannot attend a Mass Vaccination Centre appointment then use our form to let us know.

Please note that we may not be able to contact everyone who fills in this form, so do go ahead with your routine invitation when you receive it.

Travelling for a Covid-19 vaccination is classified as essential travel but in adverse weather conditions please make sure you can travel safely.
