Three sheep were killed in two suspected dog attacks in Llandinam this week.
Police say they are investigating two reports of livestock worrying in the area.
Officers have also appealed for dog owners to keep their pets on leads at all times when near livestock.
Dyfed-Powys Police's Rural Crime Team tweeted: "[PCSO] Gwilt has been dealing with two reports of livestock worrying in the Llandinam area this week.
"As a result of both attacks three ewes have been killed. The injuries appear to be similar to other incidents where dogs have been involved."
