A mini bus that was stolen from a secondary school car park has been found.

The white Ford Transit bus belonging to Crickhowell High School was taken at around 9.16pm on Monday evening (January 11).

On Wednesday afternoon, police officers in Brecon tweeted to say that the school mini bus had been recovered.

Headteacher Jackie Parker said she was "immensely grateful and relieved".

"As a school community we would like to thank everyone who helped and particularly Dyfed-Powys Police who have been brilliant in recovering our minibus undamaged!" she said.

The school said the "relatively untouched" mini bus will return to them within a few days.

Crickhowell High School tweeted: "I would like to say a huge thank you to Dyfed-Powys Police for their amazing support and professionalism in finding our stolen minibus!

"Miraculously it is undamaged and we can breath again!"
