Coronavirus vaccinations will get under way in Presteigne next week.
Powys Teaching Health Board said Presteigne Medical Centre will carry out the first GP practice-led Covid-19 vaccinations in the county.
As of Monday (January 12), people aged 80 and over who are registered with the practice will have received an invitation letter to arrange an appointment to attend the vaccination clinic.
The medical centre will be among 75 other GP practices across Wales which will start vaccinating patients from next week.
The Health Board said work is being carried out to create a network of GP practice-led clinics across Powys later this month, in addition to the mass vaccination centres already in place in Newtown, Builth Wells and Bronllys near Brecon.
Around 3,000 invitation letters have been sent to people across Powys, which represents around a third of people aged 80 and over in the county. Everyone aged 80 and over will receive their invitation during January.
