A WATER company serving parts of north Powys is urging customers to sign up for extra support if required during the current coronavirus pandemic.

Hafren Dyfrdwy wants its customers to know that support is available, especially for those whose circumstances may have changed during the pandemic.

They have various financial support available for its customers, including WaterSure, for customers on low income but who have to use a lot of water, and Here2Help, where customers could get up to 90 per cent off their bill. Payment plans are also available to help customers make their bills more manageable.

Katie Wood, from Hafren Dyfrdwy, said: “We understand that these continue to be challenging times for our customers, and we really want to make sure that anyone who could benefit from our support knows that it’s there.

“We have lots of options available for those who may now find themselves in different circumstances, and we also provide additional services to those who may benefit from being on our priority services register.”

The company is encouraging customers to sign up to the priority services register if they feel they would benefit from a more personalised service. The register helps identify any vulnerable customers or those with medical conditions and offers a wide range of support.

The register also helps anyone who would benefit from having their bills in a different format, such as braille, or a different language, so they can receive a better, tailored service.

Katie added: “Whether it’s financial help, a more personalised service, or just a bit of extra support, we’ve got lots of options available to help those who may need it.

“Equally, if you have friends, family or a neighbour whose life could be made a little easier through some extra support, please ask them to get in touch to see how we can help.”
