THE West Bromwich Building Society, Welshpool has donated £1,000 to the Dorothy Hughes House.
Dorothy Hughes House provides independent living in private accommodation in the heart of Welshpool on Westwood Road, for the actively retired.
Like all care homes across Britain, residents and staff have endured a year like none other due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions which have impacted visits.
A spokesman said: “The Trustees here at Dorothy Hughes House would like to thank the West Bromwich Building Society in Welshpool for their extremely kind and generous donation.
“It was a lovely unexpected surprise and will of course be put to good use.
“Some lovely little goodie bags were also gifted, a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated.
“We are looking forward to being able to include the staff of the West Bromwich Building Society in some of our events that we hope to hold in the not too distant future.”
