Police officers in mid Wales have said that anti-social motorbiking is a "major nuisance for our community".

On Sunday, several on-the-spot tickets were issued for breaches of coronavirus lockdown rules and anti-social riding at Dyfi Forest near Machynlleth.

Ceredigion Roads Policing tweeted that some riders had travelled from the West Midlands and further.

Officers from Machynlleth assisted during the joint operation involving Dyfed-Powys Police and North Wales Police to tackle off-road vehicles at the mid Wales beauty spot following concerns from the community.

Ceredigion Command Team said on Twitter: "Really pleased with the team for undertaking this work, antisocial motor biking is a major nuisance for our community."
