FOOTBALL clubs across mid Wales continued their return to action following lockdown restrictions over the weekend.

Abermule celebrated a 2-1 win at home to local rivals Kerry who had led through Dewi Williams' own goal only for Mule to hit back through Tom Williams and Dave Anthony.

Several supporters went to great lengths to watch the latest edition of the Dingle derby by using a raised platform hired from Williams Plant Hire to get a view of the match.

Rhayader Town proved too strong for Radnor Valley at the Weirglodd with two goals each from Tommy Rowlands and Jamie Evans inspiring a 5-1 win while Jack Clarke completed the tally.

Elsewhere Jake O'Donnell starred with a four goal haul as Berriew Reserves made light work of Llanfair United Reserves at Talbot Field.

Harry Watkins bagged a brace with Rhys Humphreys completing the scoring in a 7-1 win.

Brecon Corries were also among the goals in a 7-0 win at Talgarth Town.

Paul Keddle and Joel Evans both struck twice while Craig Evans, Phil Davies and James Jeffreys completed the tally.

Waterloo Rovers overcame Trewern 5-1 at Maesydre with Rhys Pain, Joe Beddoes and Sam Griffiths netting for the Tigers.

Meanwhile Penrhyncoch proved too strong for Borth United on Friday night with goals from Garmon Nutting, Steff Gittins, Ifan Burrell, Sion James and a brace from Josh Shaw sealing a 6-1 win.

Elsewhere Berriew overcame Machynlleth 3-2 at Talbot Field with goals from Josh Evans, Richard Davies and Andy Evans cancelling replies from Callum Page and Paul Jones.
