Geordie comedian Sarah Millican is to perform in Newtown next summer, Hafren Theatre has confirmed.

With culture vultures finally able to get their diaries out once again amid promising signs for a coronavirus vaccine, the theatre has revealed one of its first big-name acts for the coming season.

Millican will perform her latest show, called Bobby Dazzler, at the Hafren on Saturday, July 31 at 8pm.

An announcement about the show read: "Sarah has spent the last year writing jokes and growing her backside.

"She can’t wait to get back on the road and make you laugh."

Tickets for the show cost £29.50, and are available from the Hafren Box Office. Pre-sale tickets are on offer now, and go on sale to the general public on Friday morning at 10am.

Millican will be well familiar to television viewers and comedy fans alike, having appeared on programmes such as Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week, QI and Would I Lie To You?
