First they rail against the Welsh Government for putting in place a two-week firebreak only for their London leader to cap that with a four week lockdown in England.
Then they vote against free school meals for pupils in England but, having been marched up the hill by their hapless leader, they are then marched back down in embarrassing fashion when the public mood, epitomised by Marcus Rashford, forces a U-turn.
And now, only weeks after the leader of the Tories in the Senedd called for a “dose of Dom” in Wales, the Ghost of Barnard Castle has left his post for political oblivion.
It really is time that the Welsh Tories found a backbone and decided to think for themselves.
