The next phase of a popular 62-home development in a village near Newtown is underway.

Nineteen new three and four-bedroom detached homes at Dolforgan View in Kerry are expected to go on the market from Spring 2021.

So far 26 homes have been completed since the development began in 2019. And with the coronavirus lockdown and subsequent problems, Wyro Developments revealed that it has not impacted house sales at the site.

Mark Bamber, manager, said: “We’ve managed to surpass sales targets for Phases 1A and 1B having already been fortunate enough to sell 25 of the 26 homes that we’ve built so far”.

Site Manager Alan Cound added: “We are all proud to be building high quality energy efficient homes in the local area of Kerry and utilising the latest technologies for better value living and knowing that our new homes will have less of an impact on the environment."

Since the development began last year, new speed limit signs, traffic calming measures and a zebra crossing have been installed in the village to improve road safety.

Derek Price, senior engineer at Powys County Council, said: "We’re very pleased with the outcome which has been significantly beneficial to all entering the village and improving safety for local people."

The third and final phase at Dolforgan View will build 17 new homes.
