AS WE GET set to welcome in what is sure to be a very different festive season, Builth Wells residents are organising a Christmas lights competition.

Builth’s Best Dressed House hopes to spread some festive cheer around the town during what has and continues to be a rather depressing 2020. Entry costs £5 and all proceeds will go to the town’s Cylch yn yr Ysgol pre-school at Builth Wells Primary School.

Judging will take place on Sunday, December 20.

“We're approaching the end of such a strange year and plans for Christmas are still feeling a little uncertain but everyone loves Christmas lights and they're always guaranteed to bring a bit of festive light and cheer,” said organiser Vicki Morris.

“Get testing those lights and we’ll all add some festive cheer to our town. I’m also looking for people to sponsor prizes so if you'd like to do so, get in touch."

Entry forms can be filled out at Penelope Primrose (many thanks to them for their help, as always) and every entry will be very gratefully received.

Don’t want to compete but still want to support? No problem, feel free to drop donations to Penelope Primrose.
