DOG-WALKERS in Newtown have been urged to remain vigilant following reports of raw meat being strewn across Dolerw Park this week.
Open Newtown, which manages 130 acres of green space in the town including Dolerw park, said on Wednesday, October 13, that the incident is being investigated.
In the meantime, dog walkers have been told to keep their pets on a lead, and to be alert on what they are eating off the ground.
Open Newtown has urged anyone who has information about why the raw meat was disposed in the park to contact them as soon as possible.
Local vets have been made aware of the incident, Open Newtown added.
