A RADNORSHIRE man has admitted three drugs charges, while Dyfed Powys Police also brought a closure order against him.

The application for a closure order – relating to persistent nuisance calls including drug parties, criminal damage and even firearms offences – relate to activity at Jason Pryce’s Derrymore flat in the Temple Street area of Llandrindod Wells.

Dominic Evans, prosecuting on behalf of Dyfed Powys Police, said there was chronic criminal behaviour being observed at the premises.

“The order seeks to close the flat to all parties, bar the defendant and the owner, for three months,” said Mr Evans.

“There have been a plethora of incidents, including anti-social and criminal behaviour, at the premises. These include assaults and aggressive behaviour, domestic violence, incidents involving firearms, criminal damage, drug misuse and Covid-19 restrictions being breached.

“Alternative methods have been tried by the owner and the police but nothing has worked, which is why the order has been applied for..”

After granting the order, prosecutor Stephen Davies revealed details of three separate drugs possession incidents involving Pryce, all of which he admitted.

They included two counts of possessing cannabis, on May 21 and 29, and one of possessing heroin on June 26.

Magistrates fined Pryce £120 for the heroin and £85 for each cannabis charge. He must also pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge, while the drugs will be destroyed.
