RYAN Astley has spoken of his pride after being called up for Wales last week.
The teenager was included in the Welsh squad for the European Under Championships qualifier in Belgium.
Despite the Welsh crashing to a heavy 5-0 defeat which dented their qualification hopes the young Everton player from Llanfair Caereinion was delighted to be included.
Astley said: “It was a proud moment for me and my family for the call up.
“It’s something I’ve been working hard at my club for and was a great experience for me to be involved in.”
Wales remain fourth in the five team group, seven points behind Belgium.
