Montgomeryshire MP Craig Williams has congratulated a Llanidloes newsagent and town councillor after she was recognised nationally for supporting the community during the coronavirus lockdown.
Trudy Davies was nominated for The Royal British Legion Covid-19 Community Response Award in the ‘Individual Impact’ category. She was announced as runner-up at a live video awards ceremony in September.
During a visit to Llanidloes last week, Craig Williams MP said: “I know she is a huge local champion and does much for residents.”
Trudy said she was “really honoured” to have been considered for the award.
“I consider my legion volunteering as a top probity in my my life as all veterans and their family’s deserve all the support and help we can give them at any times but especially at this time when most of our older veterans have had to be self isolated.”
