THE A470 between Builth Wells and Erwood was closed for around 90 minutes on Thursday morning after a one vehicle accident where the car received substantial damage.
Powys’ Roads Policing unit tweeted a picture showing a chaotic scene, advising motorists to avoid the busy road and use an alternative route where possible.
A Dyfed Powys Police spokeswoman said: “At approximately 6.20am on Thursday, October 8, police received a report of a one vehicle collision on the A470 Erwood to Builth Wells.
“The vehicle involved was a silver Ford Fiesta. The driver was not injured, but the car had sustained substantial damage. The road was initially closed, but was open by approximately 7.50am.”
