The horse was found with an arrow lodged in its upper body.
BRECONSHIRE police are investigating a “very serious and disturbing” incident of a pony being shot through the neck with a crossbow arrow.
The animal was found grazing on common land along the A4059 between Storey Arms and Hirwaun, near the A470, on Tuesday, September 29.
Dyfed Powys Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
