Bishop’s Castle Railway Society’s weighbridge project has been given a £500 boost from the Shropshire Council Small Market Towns Fund.
The money will be used to buy extra signage and information boards in time for the National Heritage Open Day on September 19.
All the material purchased will be used long term in the building once the site is reopened to the public on a regular basis.
“Thanks to councillor Ruth Houghton for making us aware of this grant opportunity,” a Bishop’s Castle Railway Society spokesperson added.
