Welcome to this week’s Whitchurch Herald Camera Club and a big thanks to all those who sent in their favourite pictures as part of World Photography Day.

A number of Camera Club members submitted favourite photographs from their collections to contribute to the fantastic spread you see before you.

Starting top left, Joe Sheridan’s beautiful butterfly was more his mum, Yvonne’s favourite, while below that is Jill Adger’s favourite sunrise over the Mere.

Another sunrise from Brian Roberts now and the reflection on the river is quite something – over the page we go and it’s a complete contrast with Karen Harding’s wintry scene which she said was her favourite.

Pauline Jones’s bee on a flower is next with Jackie Reynolds re-submitting a beautiful sunset at Whitchurch Rugby Club.

Caroline Barrett’s ‘treehouse’ is next before Teresa Bandey’s Norfolk seals gives us all a smile as she sends that as her favourite.

Another sunset, this time from Clare Williams in Cemaes Bay in Anglesey – a superb shot, and to finish the page, Kate Long picked her shot of a bee eater on a wire for this week.

It is a cracker.

Now onto some new pictures, kicking off with Gary Crawford’s shot of a sprouting mushroom.

Mike Clarke’s been to Lake Vyrnwy and its moody forest while Jan Rescorla’s late summer sunflowers are incredible.

Finally, Caroline returns with a very inquisitive longhorn cow.
