A specialist estate agent firm has been appointed by Laura Ashley's administrators to market six manufacturing units in Newtown.

Avison Young’s specialist restructuring solutions team has been appointed to sell Laura Ashley’s manufacturing and distribution facilities on behalf of PwC.

Laura Ashley warehouses based on the Vastre and Mochdre industrial estates are on the market with a combined total of at least £6.6 million.

The freehold portfolio comprises six individual properties providing in excess of 460,000 sq ft of accommodation. Collectively, the sites extend to 32 acres in total and are located throughout the town.

Chris Davies, Associate Director, Restructuring Solutions, said: “The industrial market continues to demonstrate resilience in the prevailing market, with a shortage of freehold industrial and warehouse premises immediately available. As a result, this portfolio offers an excellent opportunity for occupiers, investors and developers alike to acquire a substantial industrial holding.

"A positive number of early enquiries have already been received and we are now actively inviting interest for the portfolio as a whole or in part, on both a for sale and to let basis.

"We look forward to working with the administrators to maximise the value from the estate and bringing these buildings back into occupation.”
